Paragon Technology and Innovation, in collaboration with the Department of Nuclear Engineering and Physics Engineering (DNEEP) and the Faculty of Agriculture UGM, successfully organized the Paragon Youth Innovation Academy (PYIA) business accelerator for the first time. PYIA takes place online for 5 months, starting on August 30, 2021 and ending on January 10, 2022. Fifty selected participants from various majors and universities (UGM, ITS, IPB, and Telkom University) must work together in a team of 3 -5 people. As many as 20 DNEEP students participated in this activity both independently and through the Technology-Based Entrepreneurship course led by Ir. Susetyo Hario Putero, M.Eng.
Paragon Technology and Innovation.
PYIA succeeded in giving birth to 12 corporate based startups funded by Paragon amounting to Rp 86 billion. Participants get the opportunity to learn to create a startup based on paying customers , instill an entrepreneurial mindset , and become a resilient person. Paragon also opens the door wide for PYIA alumni to continue the startup that has been formed. “Thank you PYIA, I learned that as an engineer, in making a solution the most important thing is to listen to the customer ,” said Jason Suhendro and Nicholas Sidharta, 2 DNEEP students who are leaders in their group.
