Graduate Profile ( Outcome Program )
The educational objective or Outcomes Program (PO) of the Physics Engineering Undergraduate Study Program, Department of Nuclear Engineering and Physical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Gadjah Mada University is to produce graduates, who are expected to have the following criteria:
- Graduates will continue to pursue life-long learning and professional development through self-study, academic or further professional education in engineering, business, or health.
- Graduates will utilize scientific and engineering foundations to improve the quality of life, through successful careers in engineering physics or other relevant fields.
- Graduates will become effective integrators and innovators, leading or participating in efforts to solve various technological, social, economic, environmental and disaster challenges.
Learning Outcomes Graduates ( Student Outcomes )
Competencies of graduates of the Bachelor of Physics Engineering Study Program who are targeted for outcomes (CPL) or Student Outcomes (SO) include:
- Ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, natural and/or material science, information technology and engineering to gain a thorough understanding of engineering principles.
- Ability to design components, systems and/or processes to meet expected needs within realistic limits, for example legal, economic, environmental, social, political, health and safety, sustainability as well as to recognize and/or utilize the potential of local and national resources by global insight.
- Ability to design and carry out laboratory and/or field experiments as well as analyze and interpret data to strengthen technical assessment.
- Ability to identify, formulate, analyze and solve technical problems.
- Ability to apply modern technical methods, skills and tools required for engineering practice.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Ability to plan, complete and evaluate tasks within existing constraints.
- Ability to work in cross-disciplinary and cross-cultural teams.
- Ability to be responsible to society and comply with professional ethics in solving technical problems.
- Ability to understand the need for lifelong learning, including access to knowledge regarding relevant current issues.
